Getting Started with Nymble Sales Lesson 1 of 8 2 min

Welcome to Nymble Sales

What the app does, how it’s laid out, and the four-step workflow you’ll use every day.

Nymble Sales is the app you’ll use to look up customers, present your catalog, and write orders — at the counter, at a trade show booth, or on the road. It runs on iPhone and iPad, and it keeps working when you have no signal at all.

The lay of the land

Everything in the app hangs off four areas:

  1. Dashboard — your book of business at a glance: recent activity, order volume, and how the period is trending.
  2. Customers — every account you manage, with its order history, contacts, and addresses.
  3. Catalog — your full product line with live pricing and availability.
  4. Orders — everything you’ve written, from draft to submitted.

The everyday workflow

Nearly every visit follows the same arc, and it’s the arc this course teaches:

  1. Glance at the dashboard before you head out.
  2. Pull up the customer you’re visiting.
  3. Browse or search the catalog with them.
  4. Build and submit the order on the spot.

Built for the field

One thing worth knowing from day one: Nymble Sales keeps a complete copy of your catalog and customers on your device. That’s why it opens instantly and why a dead zone, a concrete-walled showroom, or a trade show with overloaded Wi-Fi never stops you from writing an order. Everything you do syncs back automatically the moment you’re connected again — there’s a whole lesson on this later in the course.

What’s ahead

Seven more short lessons: installing and signing in, your first sync, the dashboard, finding a customer, browsing the catalog, and writing your first order — each one a few minutes, each one something you’ll do on day one.
