Getting Started with Nymble Admin
Lesson 5 of 8 3 min
Sales: orders, invoices, and carts
Follow an order from submitted to invoiced, and see what reps and buyers have in flight.
The Sales area is where commerce actually happens: every order from every channel, the invoices behind them, and the carts still being built out in the field. This lesson is the guided tour; processing orders end-to-end is its own course.
Steps
- Open Sales → Orders. Every order lands here — written by a rep on an iPad, submitted by a buyer on your storefront, it makes no difference. One queue, searchable, with status at a glance. Open one and read it: the customer, the lines, the pricing they got, where it’s headed.
- Watch the statuses. An order’s status tells you where it is in its life — freshly submitted, in process, done. Scanning the list by status is how you answer “what needs action?” without opening anything.
- Open Sales → Invoices. The financial trail of your orders. When your accounting runs through an integration like QuickBooks, this is where the platform’s records and your books line up.
- Open Sales → Carts. These are orders in progress — started by a rep or a buyer but not yet submitted. It’s one of the most quietly useful screens in the app: you can see demand forming before it becomes an order, and spot the big cart that’s been sitting untouched for a week (that’s a phone call, not a report).
- Note Sales → Forecast Models — order-volume forecasting trained on your own history. Worth a look once you’ve got a feel for your normal patterns; it extends the trend chart you already watch into the future.
The takeaway
Nothing about an order requires chasing — no rep email with a photographed order form, no separate storefront admin. If it was sold, started, or billed anywhere in Nymble, it’s in this one area, current as of now.
